This simple cardboard camera craft is fun to build and to play with. We made two different patterns to let your kid choose their favorite color. Get creative and become a photographer!
Materials Needed
- Cardboard
- Toilet paper roll
- Printer
- String
- Box cutter
- Scissors
- Glue or double adhesive tape
Step 1
Download and print our outlined template to trace the camera in the correct dimensions and print the patterned template (preferable on sticker paper) and keep aside.
Step 2
Cut out the outlined template and trace it on a piece of cardboard. Keep your paper on the cardboard and use a box cutter to cut out the lens of the camera.
Step 3
Cut out the dotted lines. Use a box cutter and make a light cut on the fold lines, to make it easier to fold. Do not cut through.
Step 4
Now glue the stickers on the cardboard.
Step 5
First try if your paper roll fits in the round cut out. If not, make it smaller and secure it with a stapler. Now glue the last sticker around the toilet paper roll. place it in the camera.
Step 6
Make small holes on the left and right side of the camera. Pull the string through it and make a big knot on the inner side to secure it.
Step 8
Assemble the camera with doubled sided adhesive tape.
