Since your kid probably has a lot of cars, it is time to make a do-it-yourself car wash. Turn an old cardboard box into the coolest car wash station with our free printable car wash stickers. A great activity for all children.
Follow the following steps or watch our step to step video tutorial at the end of this page and build your own car wash.
Materials needed
- Cardboard box and extra cardboard
- Printer
- Wrapping paper
- Paper
- Wooden craft sticks or straws
- Stapler
- Tape
- Scissors
- Glue
How to build your own car wash from cardboard:
Step 1
Download and print our free car wash stickers.
Step 2
Reuse an old cardboard box and wrap it with wrapping paper.
Step 3
Cut out our car wash stickers.
Step 4
Cut an extra piece of cardboard in the shape below and wrap it with wrapping paper. (Width +/- 28 cm.) Glue the 'CAR WASH' sticker on top of it.
Step 5
Cut out the entrance of your car wash, front and back. Wrap the cut out entrance too and glue the 'START' sticker on top of it.
Step 6
Make two cuts on top of the cardboard box and insert the 'CAR WASH' sign.
Step 7
Now start making the car wash brushes. Make two rolls out of two paper strokes or use two toilet paper rolls.
Step 8
Make some more strokes and make little cuts into it. Glue it on the rolls and create different layers.
Step 9
Make little holes into the car wash brushes and place a wooden craft stick or straw into it. Secure it on the inside with tape.
Now you're ready to clean your cars!
